The MSI Prestige 14 Ai Evo C1MG is the latest addition to MSI’s business ultraportable lineup. Although it has grown larger than its predecessors, this laptop maintains the series’ reputation for high performance, usability, portability and practicality. It now also represents outstanding value.
It comes in a subtle “Stellar Grey” finish which is a departure from MSI’s earlier vibrant designs, but it’s focused squarely at business users and workers, nowadays. The chassis feels premium and robust and has been designed (and heavily tested) to withstand the rigours of travel and professional (not to mention, educational) environments.
It sports a 14-inch, matte, Full HD, IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s suitable for outdoor use thanks to its high brightness and anti-reflective coating. It’s very good at displaying both office apps and multimedia, though it’s not the best for gaming.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1. There’s even an Ethernet port!
Security features include a webcam shutter, a Windows Hello-friendly fingerprint reader and a (Full HD) high-quality webcam for facial-recognition log-in. There’s also a Tobii Experience app which can blur the screen if you look (or move) away from it or if someone peaks over your shoulder.
The keyboard, features “Scrabble Tile” keys with three levels of white backlighting and offers a comfortable typing experience, though the arrow-key layout might take some getting used to. The speakers are very good, indeed.
Inside, it houses an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor that’s supported by 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. There’s an NPU for Ai tasks and integrated, seven-core Intel Arc graphics.
The processor performs well in multitasking and productivity tasks: scoring 6,523 in the PCMark 10 benchmark and achieving respectable results in rendering tests. The integrated graphics are only suited to basic rendering and casual and competitive games, though.
The laptop’s cooling system manages heat effectively, with minimal thermal throttling even under extended load. It runs cool and quiet almost all of the time, too.
The 90Wh battery is a standout feature, delivering 24 hours of runtime in PCMark’s Modern Office test – one of the very best scores we’ve ever seen.
At 1.73kg and measuring 313 x 267 x 19mm, it is larger than most 14-inch ultraportables, but it’s more powerful and its impressive build quality and advanced durability testing make it particularly roadworthy.
At $1,899 the Prestige 14 Ai Evo C1MG is great value. However, during the Black Friday sales, it’s discounted to $1,299. This makes it the Best Value Laptop on the market, right now. Its business credentials also mean it’s one of the top business laptops on the market (certainly one of the lowest priced) and its amazing battery means it’s one of the most portable, too (it’s one of the more-powerful portable laptops to boot).

All of these accolades, not surprisingly, have won the Prestige 14 Ai Evo C1MG High Performance Laptops’ coveted Best Laptop award. If you need a laptop for work, you’d be mad not to buy one – especially at the current sale price! Get one before it sells out.
