Acer has unveiled its new Acer Swift Edge (SFA16-41) – the world’s lightest 16-inch OLED laptop. It’s powered by both AMD Ryzen 6000 and PRO 6000 series processors and seeks to provide a, “Perfect blend of performance, durability, and security”

- Magnesium-aluminium (Mg-Al alloy) chassis.
- AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 Series CPUs with 8 high performance “Zen 3+” cores built using 6nm fabrication technology.
- Microsoft Pluton security processor (provides additional protection to Windows 11 PCs for sensitive assets like credentials and encryption keys).
- 4K OLED (3,840 x 2,400) display with (cinema-grade) 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut support, 500-nit peak brightness and fast, sub-0.2ms response time.
- HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports (with fast charging), two USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Pricing and availability
Acer says, the Swift Edge (SFA16-41) will be available in Australia in Q1 2023 starting at US$1,499. Exact specifications, prices, and availability will vary by region.
In many ways the new Swift Edge sounds similar to the impressive Asus Zenbook 14X OLED laptop that we recently reviewed. We look forward to testing it to see how it compares.
