Acer has introduced two new thin-and-light laptops at Computex 2026: the Swift Air 14, powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors, and the Swift Spin 14 AI, a convertible that marks the first 360-degree hinge design in the Swift product line. Both run Windows 11 with dedicated neural processing units for on-device AI workloads.
The Swift Air 14 will be available in Australia from Q3 2026 starting at AUD $1,399. Australian availability and pricing for the Swift Spin 14 AI will be confirmed at a later date.
Acer Swift Air 14: An All-Aluminium Clamshell

The Swift Air 14 (model SFA14-I31) is aimed at students, professionals and everyday users who need a portable laptop with current-generation processors and long battery life at a mid-range price point.
The laptop is powered by up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor with up to 40 platform TOPS of AI processing and a dedicated NPU delivering up to 17 TOPS. It carries a 70 Wh battery that Acer rates at up to 19 hours of video playback, 16 hours of web browsing and 12 hours under MobileMark 30 testing. Fast charging support can reach 50 per cent capacity in 30 minutes with a 100-watt adapter.
The all-aluminium chassis weighs 1.25 KG and measures as thin as 12.9mm. It is available in four colours: sage green, frost blue, blossom pink and lilac purple. A 180-degree hinge allows the laptop to fold flat, which is useful for collaborative scenarios where two people are viewing the screen from opposite sides of a table.
James Lin, General Manager of Notebooks at Acer Inc., outlined the positioning of the Swift Air 14.
“This new laptop caters to the value the market needs, delivering advanced capabilities and AI features in an accessible laptop that is as refined as it is powerful,” Lin remarked. “The Swift Air 14 represents Acer’s commitment to making technology more broadly available, wrapped in the chassis the Swift family is known for.”
Swift Air 14 Display And Audio
The Swift Air 14 features a 14-inch WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 120 Hz refresh rate, 350 nits of brightness and 100 per cent sRGB colour coverage.
Audio is delivered through quad stereo speakers with DTS X:Ultra 3D spatial audio processing, a feature more commonly found in higher-priced laptops. The four-speaker configuration is designed to provide wider sound staging than the dual-speaker setups typical of laptops in this price range.
Swift Air 14 Security And Connectivity
A 1080p IR webcam supports Windows Hello facial recognition for secure login and includes a physical privacy shutter. Acer PurifiedVoice provides AI-assisted noise cancellation through dual built-in microphones, and PurifiedView handles video enhancement during calls.

Intel’s View On The Swift Air 14
Josh Newman, General Manager and Vice President of Consumer PC in the Client Computing Group at Intel, pointed to the Swift Air 14 as an example of the Intel Core Series 3 platform’s capabilities.
“With the launch of Intel Core Series 3 processors, we’ve been excited to see its purpose-built balance of right-sized performance, battery life and AI-ready capabilities come to life in new designs,” Newman explained.
“The new Acer Swift Air 14 is a great example of how, through close collaboration with partners, we’re delivering devices that elevate the computing experience for students, families and small businesses.”
Acer Swift Spin 14 AI: A Convertible For The Swift Line

The Swift Spin 14 AI (model SFSP14-I51T) introduces a 360-degree hinge to Acer’s consumer Swift laptop family, allowing it to operate in four modes: laptop, presentation, display and tablet.
The convertible is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor with up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance and up to 100 platform TOPS. As a Windows 11 Copilot+ PC, it supports Microsoft’s on-device AI features that run through the integrated neural processing unit.
Battery life is rated at up to 26 hours of video playback, 16.5 hours of web browsing and 14 hours under MobileMark 30 testing from a 71 Wh cell. Fast charging supports up to 100 watts via DC-in.
The aluminium chassis in platinum silver carries MIL-STD-810H military durability certification and weighs 1.40 KG. The 14-inch WUXGA IPS glass display features a 120 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of brightness, 100 per cent sRGB coverage and multi-touch support.
Stylus And Input Options
The Swift Spin 14 AI supports an Acer Active Stylus with Wacom AES 2.0 technology, offering 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and shading capability. The stylus is sold separately and is aimed at users who need pen input for note-taking, document annotation, sketching and creative work.
A 5-megapixel IR camera with a human presence detector and a biometric fingerprint reader both support Windows Hello secure login. The Acer User Sensing feature detects the user’s presence and can lock the device when the user steps away, providing protection against unauthorised access.
Swift Spin 14 AI Connectivity
The convertible includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, dual Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, dual USB 3.2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack. Memory options extend to 16GB of DDR5, with storage up to 1TB via PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
Audio is handled by dual speakers with DTS X:Ultra processing, and a triple digital microphone array works with Acer PurifiedVoice for AI-assisted noise cancellation during video calls.
AI Software Features
Both laptops include a dedicated Copilot button for quick access to Microsoft’s AI assistant and come bundled with Acer’s suite of AI productivity tools.
AcerSense and Acer Intelligence Space provide the software framework, hosting features co-developed with Intel including Acer QR Capture for scanning codes during video calls, Acer AI Image Generator and Acer Video Speed Controller. These tools run locally using the dedicated NPU rather than requiring cloud processing.
The Swift Spin 14 AI adds Acer Assist, Acer VisionArt and Acer User Sensing to its software package, reflecting the higher AI processing capability of its Intel Core Ultra Series 3 platform compared to the Core Series 3 in the Swift Air 14.
Two Tiers Of The Swift Line
The two laptops address different segments of the consumer and light-business market. The Swift Air 14 at $1,399 targets buyers who want a well-built, lightweight clamshell with current-generation processors, long battery life and AI features at an accessible price. The Swift Spin 14 AI targets users who need a convertible form factor, higher AI processing capability, stylus support and the Copilot+ PC designation at a price point yet to be confirmed for Australia.
Both share the Swift design language and AI software ecosystem, but the Spin 14 AI’s Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, Thunderbolt 4 ports, military durability certification and 360-degree hinge place it in a different competitive set.
The Acer Swift Air 14 will be available in Australia from Q3 2026 starting at $1,399. Australian availability for the Swift Spin 14 AI will be confirmed at a later date.
