Asus And GoPro Create Limited Edition ProArt GoPro Laptop

Asus has launched a limited-edition ProArt GoPro Edition (PX13) laptop, marking a collaboration with GoPro aimed at professional content creators seeking rugged, Ai-enhanced mobile workflows.

The device, announced in Taipei, features hardware-level GoPro integration, a dedicated GoPro Hotkey, built-in access to GoPro Cloud and 360-degree video editing support via the StoryCube app. The PX13 also includes a 12-month GoPro Premium+ subscription bundled with the device.

Built For GoPro Creators On The Move

The 13-inch convertible laptop combines Asus’s ProArt creator-focused engineering with design cues from GoPro’s product line. It features a matte black metal finish, a 360-degree hinge, and a rugged build certified to MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards.

Weighing 1.39KG with a 16mm profile, the device is aimed at creators who shoot and edit outside controlled studio environments. It ships with a matching protective sleeve and customisable collector-style packaging that doubles as a padded storage system for cameras and accessories.

Asus said the foam insert in the box can be cut to fit different camera gear, allowing the packaging to be reused as field storage. This approach, the company said, aligns with the on-the-go needs of creators operating in outdoor, mobile or expedition-style environments.

Integrated GoPro Tools And Workflow

Central to the device is the StoryCube app, which integrates GoPro Cloud media access and 360-degree video support into Windows workflows.

The dedicated GoPro Hotkey instantly launches GoPro Player, enabling creators to begin editing captured footage with one press. When connected to a GoPro account, StoryCube automates cloud syncing, applies metadata tags and sorts footage using Ai-based content recognition.

These features aim to reduce post-capture friction for users managing multiple GoPro shoots. Rather than manually importing and renaming files, users can rely on automatic syncing and tagging. This is intended to shorten the time between capture and edit, especially for creators working with large video libraries or time-sensitive production schedules.

The ProArt GoPro Edition also includes a free 12-month GoPro Premium+ subscription, which provides unlimited cloud storage for GoPro content and access to the GoPro ecosystem’s editing and backup tools.

Ai Performance With Ryzen Max+ 395

Under the hood, the laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen Ai Max+ 395 processor featuring a 50 TOPS NPU for hardware-accelerated Ai workloads. The chip supports real-time video enhancement, upscaling and content-aware filtering during editing sessions.

Users can configure the laptop with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory clocked at 8,000 MHz. This high-bandwidth memory setup is aimed at supporting large creative projects such as multi-layered video edits, RAW photo processing, or simultaneous use of several pro-grade applications.

On-device Ai acceleration is a key feature. By reducing dependency on cloud-based inferencing, Asus said creators can maintain consistent performance while editing on the move or in areas with limited connectivity.

Power management is also tied to the onboard Ai engine, which adjusts performance levels based on workload type, helping to extend battery life during long mobile sessions.

Rugged Convertible Form Factor

The PX13’s 360-degree hinge allows it to operate in multiple modes including tent, tablet and clamshell. Asus said the reinforced hinge system is designed to remain stable across repeated position changes, whether the device is being used for playback in the field or stylus-based sketching in studio environments.

Combined with the included protective sleeve, the device is positioned as a mobile hub for creators who need performance and flexibility in remote or harsh conditions.

Asus said this form factor was chosen to allow hybrid workflows, enabling the same device to be used for both creative exploration and production-grade editing.

OLED Display With DialPad Integration

The ProArt GoPro Edition features a 13.3-inch 3K Asus Lumina OLED touchscreen, offering 16:10 aspect ratio, stylus support and integration with Asus’s DialPad system for fine-grain creative control.

When paired with an MPP 2.6-compatible stylus such as Asus Pen 3.0, users can sketch, grade and navigate software using tactile input. The DialPad allows for brush size changes, exposure adjustment and timeline scrubbing via physical controls.

The OLED panel is factory calibrated for colour accuracy and high dynamic range. Asus said this ensures consistent output across different lighting environments, which is critical for content creators working across multiple devices and display types.

The company is pitching the combination of display, stylus and DialPad as a compact, mobile editing studio for professional creatives in fields such as travel media, outdoor cinematography and action content production.

GoPro Workflow Meets Ai Creativity

The limited edition ProArt GoPro Edition brings together Asus’s ProArt series design principles and GoPro’s creator-first features, with an emphasis on workflow speed, device portability and rugged design.

While it inherits ProArt’s focus on precision visuals and high memory ceilings, the device also introduces new touchpoints for GoPro creators – from one-button app access to full cloud-media integration.

By tightly integrating hardware controls, local Ai processing and media-management tools, Asus and GoPro are targeting a new generation of field-based content creators who need fast turnaround and consistent quality across devices.
