Asus has launched the Zenbook 14 (UX3480) in Australia, an ultraportable Copilot+ laptop featuring the company’s Ceraluminum material technology in two colourways.
The 14-inch laptop is available with processor options from Intel, AMD and Snapdragon, offering up to 50 TOPS of neural processing unit (NPU) performance for on-device AI workloads. Pricing starts at $2,099 for the entry-level Snapdragon X1 configuration, with the range extending to $3,999 for an Intel Core Ultra 9 model running Windows 11 Pro.
Weight and battery life
Depending on configuration, the Zenbook 14 weighs between 1.1KG and 1.3KG. Snapdragon models sit at 1.1KG, AMD at 1.2KG and Intel variants range from 1.1KG to 1.3KG.
Asus claims up to 33 hours of battery life on select configurations, though this figure is based on offline FHD video playback rather than mixed-use scenarios.
Targeting the side hustle market
Asus has positioned the Zenbook 14 around what it sees as a growing side hustle economy in Australia. The company pointed to Westpac research indicating that 55 per cent of Australians are either earning income from a side hustle or actively considering starting one.
Head of Consumer at Asus Australia, Brad Howe, described the device as a response to changing work patterns.
“Australians are increasingly turning their passions into secondary incomes, and they need technology that can keep up with a highly mobile lifestyle,” Howe explained.
“The Zenbook 14 is designed specifically for this new way of working. We’ve combined the battery life and AI performance with a tactile design and new colour options that users actually want to carry with them everywhere.”
The on-device AI capability, powered by up to 50 TOPS NPU across the Intel, AMD and Snapdragon configurations, is intended to handle tasks such as video rendering, high-resolution image editing and AI workloads locally without needing a cloud connection.
Display and input
Select configurations feature a 14-inch 3K 120Hz Asus Lumina OLED touchscreen with an 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The display carries TUV Rheinland certification for low blue light and is rated as flicker-free, which Asus says is aimed at reducing eye strain during extended use.

The laptop also includes an enlarged smart-gesture touchpad and an ergonomic easy-lift hinge.

Every Zenbook 14 sold in Australia includes a set of digital subscriptions: a three-month Google AI Pro subscription, a one-month Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps membership, a three-month GoPro Premium+ subscription, six months of Dropbox 500GB storage, a three-month Goodnotes Essential subscription and one year of Asus Secure Auto-Backup with 200GB of storage.
