Shenzhen-based PC hardware manufacturer, Colorful Technology, has released the Rimbook L1 Plus, a 16-inch laptop built around AMD’s Ryzen 7 7735HS processor and aimed at students, professionals and creators.
The laptop pairs the eight-core, 16-thread AMD chip – which boosts up to 4.75GHz – with integrated AMD Radeon 680M graphics, 16GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Home.
Thin And Light Build
The Rimbook L1 Plus weighs 1.4 KG and measures 16.65mm thick. The chassis features a matte metal top cover and is available in silver.
A 65Wh battery handles power duties, with charging delivered via a 65W USB Type-C Power Delivery connection. The use of USB-C PD means users can leave a proprietary charger behind in favour of a standard USB-C adapter.
Two PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD slots are included, giving users the option to expand storage beyond the 512GB drive that ships in the box.
16-Inch IPS Panel With 120Hz Refresh Rate
The display is a 16-inch IPS panel running at a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution – marketed as 2.5K – in a 16:10 aspect ratio. The taller ratio provides more vertical screen space than the conventional 16:9 format, which Colorful is positioning as an advantage for productivity workflows.
The panel covers 100 per cent of the sRGB colour gamut and puts out 300 nits of brightness, with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and on-screen motion. Colorful is targeting photographers, graphic designers and video editors with the full sRGB coverage, framing it as useful for colour-accurate content work.
Bezels measure 4mm on the sides and 3mm on the top, delivering a 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
Connectivity And Software
Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
The laptop ships with WPS Office pre-installed, providing access to word processing, spreadsheet and presentation tools without requiring a separate software purchase.
