Dynabook refreshes Portégé X30L laptop

Dynabook has announced it’s refreshed its Portégé X30L series laptops with the introduction of the lightweight, 13-inch Portégé X30L-K. It features the latest, hybrid-architecture Intel 12th Gen Core P-Series 28W processor options, Wi-Fi 6E, and Intel Iris Xe graphics and weighs as little as 904g. It also introduces an ultralight, magnesium-alloy chassis for extra durability, lightness and strength.

The X30L-K offers up to 32GB LPDDR5 4800MHz dual-channel RAM which is paired with ultra-fast PCIe 4.0 SSD storage (up to 1TB).

Angela Walker, General Manager, Dynabook ANZ said, “Dynabook’s range of premium Portégé laptops deliver the very best in mobile computing so that professionals can continue to go where the workday takes them, without compromising on performance. As more workplaces shift to hybrid working, the Portégé X30L-K has been engineered to meet the future needs of professionals – meaning users need devices that not only keep pace with everyday demands but enhance it. The Portégé X30L-K certainly delivers that.”

The perfect ultraportable laptop?

The X30L-K boasts a battery life of up to 11 hours and a quick-charge function which allows workers to achieve a 40 per cent battery charge in 30 minutes – enough for most of the working day. With optional facial and fingerprint biometric activation the device can be unlocked in under a second, ready to capture ideas or resume work.

The Portégé X30L-K’s magnesium alloy chassis provides added strength and durability for someone constantly on the go. A 3-sided narrow bezel maximises the screen area without compromising on size and portability. The vivid 13.3-inch IGZO non-reflective touch-display screen delivers high brightness, with low power consumption. The X30L-K can be opened flat for collaboration in the workplace whilst the backlit, ‘frameless’ keyboard design, precision TouchPad and optional SecurePad with fingerprint reader allow comfortable all-day working. This Portégé is equipped for productivity and collaboration, through a variety of common ports, dual pointing devices, HD webcam, dual microphones, DTS audio system, and more.

Comes with Windows 11

The Portégé X30L-K can be pre-configured with Microsoft Windows 11 Pro, which provides enhanced productivity features that deliver users a more personalised and intuitive user experience than previous generations of the operating system. Built on the consistent and compatible Microsoft Windows 10 foundation, Windows 11 can be managed with familiar tools and processes, making it a natural upgrade path for any laptop user. For businesses that have not yet migrated, this laptop can also be ordered with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and would be eligible for a free upgrade to Microsoft Windows 11 Pro when ready.

Secure and Manageable for Both IT managers and workers

Among the most secure laptops in the world, all Portégé models meet Microsoft’s strict Secured-Core PC requirements (available on vPro models) and address the security and manageability challenges posed by the accelerated shift towards flexible working patterns. Dynabook’s proprietary BIOS offers another extensive security layer to mitigate BIOS-level security threats, while numerous integrated features like Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0, enterprise-grade encryption, and optional Windows Hello fingerprint and face authentication sign in to help provide unrelenting protection against data, device, and identify threats.

Even with a dispersed workforce, IT departments can support and manage these premium devices featuring Intel 12th Gen Core™ vPro processors through intelligent manageability capabilities. The Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) enables easy management of devices, even remotely. Dynabook’s proprietary BIOS can also be upgraded and managed remotely to maintain the highest levels of security.

Dynabook will offer multiple configurations of the Portégé X30L-K laptop from its network of resellers which can be found via anz.dynabook.com. Pricing starts at $1790 and includes a standard three-year warranty.
