HP Australia has announced the launch of its first next-gen Ai-powered 2-in-1 laptop, the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14. Powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, the new laptop offers users increased flexibility and performance, catering to those looking for a seamless Ai experience.
Rachael Williams, HP’s Head of Personal Systems ANZ, highlighted the laptop’s ability to adapt to varied user environments. “Increasingly, we demand personalised experiences, and this new laptop meets those demands by adjusting seamlessly to different settings — whether logging on from home or a café,” said Williams. “It’s not just about automating tasks; it’s about understanding user needs, enhancing creativity, and productivity in ways we didn’t expect.”
Shifting Workplaces with Ai Integration
As work shifts beyond traditional office spaces, Ai has played a role in enabling this transformation. HP’s second annual Work Relationship Index report found that 66 per cent of Aussie knowledge workers believe Ai makes their jobs easier, and around 65 per cent are now customising Ai tools to boost productivity.
The OmniBook Ultra Flip is designed for users on the go, with features intended to enhance flexibility and ease of use. HP has built in Ai-based capabilities to make the laptop adaptive and responsive to a variety of work styles, from tech-savvy freelancers to creative professionals.
Key Features of the OmniBook Ultra Flip
The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip comes with a number of Ai-based features, catering to users who require adaptable technology:
Convertible Design: The device easily switches between laptop, tablet, and tent modes, supporting diverse ways of working. With a 3K OLED display, the OmniBook Ultra Flip offers high-quality visuals for tasks like design review and content creation. For artists and creators, the device includes inking functionality and a haptic touchpad, enhancing the precision of creative workflows.
Ai-Capable Processor: Equipped with an Intel Core Ultra processor (Series 2), the device operates with three dedicated engines — CPU, GPU, and NPU — allowing it to handle complex Ai tasks while maintaining quiet and cool performance. It also provides up to 20 hours of battery life for video playback, making it a practical option for users needing extended, uninterrupted productivity.
Enhanced Security: HP Wolf Security comes standard with the OmniBook Ultra Flip, which includes a dedicated security chip and a self-healing core to protect users from cyber threats. Additionally, McAfee’s Smart Ai Deepfake Detector identifies Ai-generated audio, giving users tools to guard against potential fraud or misinformation.
Sustainability-Focused Design: In line with HP’s commitment to sustainability, the OmniBook Ultra Flip is built using 90 per cent recycled metals and 50 per cent post-consumer recycled plastics. It is also certified with EPEAT Gold, Climate+, and ENERGY STAR.
Ai Camera for Enhanced Collaboration
HP has prioritised personalisation and collaboration in the OmniBook Ultra Flip. The Poly Camera Pro, an Ai-powered webcam, uses features such as Spotlight and Background Blur to keep users focused in video calls while minimising CPU use and conserving battery life.
