Lenovo has announced a series of new products at its Innovation World 2024 event (adjacent to IFA 2024), aimed at business users navigating the Ai era. The company introduced the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and expanded its Copilot+ PC portfolio, including the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD and ThinkBook 16 Gen 7. It also showcased the Lenovo Auto Twist Ai PC proof of concept, alongside a new solution, Ai PC Fast Start, designed to accelerate Ai PC adoption.
The event highlighted Lenovo’s push towards integrating Ai technology into professional computing, with a focus on improving user interaction and productivity through Ai-enhanced devices.
Ai PC Devices Poised to Take Over
Lenovo’s announcements reflect the growing relevance of Ai-powered PCs, with predictions indicating that over 60 per cent of PCs shipped by 2027 will be Ai-capable. The company’s Ai PCs aim to enhance user experiences through natural interactions, personalised models, and advanced computing architectures.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition
A highlight of the event was the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition (click here for the 360-degree video view), which Lenovo co-developed with Intel. This device is thinner and lighter than its predecessors, weighing less than 1KG. It incorporates Ai capabilities that personalise and simplify user interactions, enhancing productivity for business users.
“The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition is designed to deliver exceptional performance and a more intelligent user experience,” Butler said.
The laptop features Intel Core Ultra processors, Ai-powered smart modes, and enhanced security options like Privacy Guard and Privacy Alert. It also integrates Lenovo’s Smart Share, allowing for Ai-enabled picture sharing between smartphones and laptops.
Lenovo Auto Twist Ai PC Proof of Concept
Lenovo also introduced the Auto Twist Ai PC, an innovative concept designed to enhance user interaction through automation and Ai. This device features automatic rotation based on user movements and integrates with voice commands for seamless transitions between different modes like laptop and tablet.
The Auto Twist Ai PC aims to set a new standard for personal computing, blending Ai-powered flexibility with user-centric features such as enhanced security and wellness improvements.
ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD
The ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD (click here for video product view) is another key product aimed at business users. Powered by the AMD Ryzen Ai processors, this device offers a threefold performance boost over previous generations. It features improved cooling, enhanced connectivity with Wi-Fi 7, and long battery life of up to 17 hours.

The ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 is designed for professionals seeking a high-performance laptop with advanced Ai capabilities. It includes tools for enhancing virtual meetings, such as the Communications Bar with a 5MP camera, and industry-leading security features supported by AMD PRO technology.
Expanding the ThinkBook Portfolio
Lenovo has also expanded its ThinkBook portfolio with the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 and Gen 7+, both equipped with Ai features. The ThinkBook 16 Gen 7+ is powered by AMD Ryzen Ai processors, delivering next-generation Ai performance for content creation and multitasking.
The ThinkBook 16 Gen 7, featuring the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, is designed for on-the-go professionals. It offers extended battery life and enhanced connectivity, making it a suitable choice for business users who prioritise portability and efficiency.
Both ThinkBook models come with robust security features, including Microsoft Pluton’s chip-to-cloud technology for secured identity and cryptographic services.
Ai PC Fast Start to Accelerate Adoption
Lenovo is introducing Ai PC Fast Start, a solution aimed at helping organisations transition to Ai-ready devices. This service provides Ai-powered advisory, helping businesses assess technical readiness and identify the right Ai PC setup. Paired with Ai PC Lifecycle Services, Lenovo aims to simplify deployment, enhance user experience, and accelerate Ai adoption across organisations.
Lenovo’s focus on user-centric designs and sustainable materials was also highlighted at the event. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD incorporate recycled materials, and the packaging for these devices is plastic-free.

Security in the Ai Era
Lenovo’s ThinkShield solutions were also a focal point of the event, providing comprehensive security for Ai-powered devices. These solutions cover threats from below the OS to the cloud, ensuring businesses are protected throughout the lifecycle of their devices. Lenovo’s partnership with SentinelOne has further strengthened its security capabilities, integrating advanced threat detection and response technologies into its ThinkShield portfolio.
