SentinelOne and Lenovo have entered a multi-year partnership to bring Ai-powered security to millions of Lenovo PCs globally. The collaboration will see SentinelOne’s Singularity platform and Purple Ai integrated into new Lenovo PC and laptop shipments, while existing customers will have the option to upgrade their devices with these capabilities.
This move is aimed at enhancing Lenovo’s ThinkShield security portfolio, providing stronger autonomous protection against evolving cyber threats.
A New Era of Security
Nima Baiati, Executive Director and General Manager of Cybersecurity Solutions at Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group, explained how the partnership addresses the complexity and speed of modern cyber threats. “The threats we face require a defence that is both intelligent and adaptable. SentinelOne’s Singularity platform, combined with its Purple Ai, brings Ai-powered protection to the forefront. As Lenovo launches new Ai-driven PCs, we’re incorporating these advanced security capabilities into the ThinkShield platform.”
Lenovo, which sells millions of devices each year, is positioning this collaboration as a significant boost to its global security offering. The partnership will enable Lenovo’s direct sales team and channel partners to provide businesses with built-in security options that are designed to meet the increasing demands of today’s cybersecurity environment.
Enhancing Cyber Resilience
Patricia Wilkey, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Lenovo Solutions and Services Group International Sales, highlighted the importance of cyber resilience in the deal. “Businesses need cyber resilience to maintain continuity, especially with the unpredictable nature of today’s threats. Our collaboration with SentinelOne is a crucial part of Lenovo’s strategy to offer cybersecurity and resilience services that protect our customers from emerging risks.”
Through this partnership, Lenovo will also introduce a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, built on SentinelOne’s Ai and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities. This new service aims to provide Lenovo customers with enhanced, real-time protection against cyberattacks.
Scaling AI-Powered Security
Akhil Kapoor, Vice President of Embedded Business at SentinelOne, discussed how the partnership will scale Ai-powered security solutions across Lenovo’s global customer base. “Endpoints are a major target for cyberattacks, and they are critical to a business’s operations. By working with Lenovo, we can scale Ai-powered security to millions of PCs and servers around the world. This partnership offers Lenovo customers devices that defend themselves in real time, providing a significant security advantage.”
The collaboration between Lenovo and SentinelOne is set to expand Lenovo’s existing cybersecurity services while providing customers with more advanced, autonomous security solutions.
Expanding Lenovo’s ThinkShield Security
Lenovo’s ThinkShield security portfolio is already widely recognised, but this partnership with SentinelOne aims to further enhance its offerings. The inclusion of SentinelOne’s technology allows for real-time threat detection and response, reducing the reliance on human intervention.
Businesses of all sizes will benefit from these enhancements, as Lenovo’s global sales and partner network can now provide cutting-edge security solutions built into their devices.
