Asus ROG Launches 2026 Gaming Laptop Lineup In Australia

Asus Republic of Gamers has used its 20th anniversary to launch a new generation of gaming laptops in Australia, headlined by what the company claims is the first 16-inch dual-screen OLED gaming laptop.

The ROG Zephyrus Duo leads a lineup that also includes refreshed Zephyrus G16 and G14 models alongside the TUF Gaming A14 for budget-conscious buyers. Pricing spans from $3,199 for the TUF A14 an eye-watering $12,999 for the top-specification Zephyrus Duo, with most models arriving in May through the Asus Store and participating retailers.

Two decades of ROG

Republic of Gamers launched as an Asus sub-brand in 2006, initially focused on motherboards and components for the overclocking community. The brand has since expanded into laptops, desktops, monitors, peripherals, smartphones and networking gear.

Bradley Howe, Head of Consumer at Asus Australia, framed the anniversary as a turning point.

“Two decades ago, ROG set out to define new possibilities in gaming, a spirit of continuous innovation that continues to guide us,” Howe explained.

“Our 20th anniversary is a moment to reflect on a legacy built on community and impactful technology, and to lay a strong foundation for gaming’s next chapter in Australia.”

The brand has also moved into cultural partnerships beyond hardware, including a collaboration with Kojima Productions, the studio behind the Death Stranding franchise.

ROG Zephyrus Duo: two 16-inch OLED screens in a laptop

The centrepiece of the 2026 range is the ROG Zephyrus Duo, which pairs two 16-inch 3K OLED touchscreens running at 120Hz with HDR support. Asus describes these as ROG Nebula HDR displays, citing a 0.2ms response time and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility.

The dual-screen layout supports five operation modes, allowing users to configure the screens for different tasks. The second display can be used for livestream monitoring, creative tool palettes or extended desktop space.

Under the hood, the Zephyrus Duo runs an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor. The top configuration pairs this with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and 2TB of storage for $12,999, arriving in May. A second configuration with an RTX 5070 Ti and 32GB of memory will follow in June at $8,999.

The chassis is CNC-milled aluminium finished in Stellar Grey. A removable magnetic keyboard allows the device to be repositioned depending on how the screens are being used, and customisable Slash Lighting adds a visual element to the lid.

Cooling is handled by what Asus calls ROG Intelligent Cooling, combining a vapour chamber, dual fans and a dedicated graphite sheet to manage thermals across sustained workloads.

Howe positioned the Duo as the culmination of two decades of product development.

“The ROG Zephyrus Duo delivers Australian gamers and creators a dual-screen OLED experience that balances performance with versatility and design, enabling them to work hard, play harder, and create without limits,” he observed.

All G16 configurations feature a 16-inch 2.5K display running at 240Hz, paired with Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processors. GPU options range from the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 through to the RTX 5090.

The top-spec G16 with RTX 5090, 64GB of memory and 2TB of storage is priced at $9,999 and arrives in May. A second RTX 5090 configuration in Platinum White with 1TB of storage follows in June at $9,499. The RTX 5080 model comes in at $7,699 and the RTX 5070 variant at $6,499, both available from May.

The G16 uses the same ROG Nebula Display technology and Intelligent Cooling system found in the Duo.

Two AMD-based G14 models round out the range at $4,999 each, available from May. One pairs an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX370 with an RTX 5070 Ti, while the other combines a Ryzen AI 9 465 with an RTX 5060.

All three configurations feature 14-inch 2.5K displays at 165Hz with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of storage in a Jaeger Gray finish.

The range starts at $3,199 for a model with an AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor and Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU. Two further options at $3,499 offer either a Ryzen AI 9 465 with RTX 5060 or an AMD Strix Halo processor without a discrete GPU, relying instead on integrated graphics.
